Abstract

The role of physical education in elementary schools is important, because it helps develop the basic skills that children need to master various skills in later life. According to experts, the growth pattern of school-age children until they reach puberty or adolescence is called a slow growth pattern. Based on the description above, the authors conducted classroom action research with the title "Improving Athletic Learning Achievement (Bullet Rejection Through the Inquiry Method with TV-VCD Media in Class VI Students of SD Negeri Kropak I Kec. Bantaran, Probolinggo Regency. This research was conducted in 2 cycles with each -each cycle was carried out for 2 meetings. Learning evaluation was carried out at the end of each cycle. The results showed that the average score of students' test results in the second cycle increased compared to the first cycle, which was 64.55 in the first cycle to 81 ,3 in the second cycle with the highest score also increased from 76 in the first cycle to 92 in the second cycle. Learning mastery also increased. In the first cycle there were 16 students from 22 students who were still incomplete, and in the second cycle all students completed. Conclusion from this study is that the Inquiry Method with TV-VCD Media can provide a significant increase in pressure ta tion to learn athletics bullet put for class VI students of SD Negeri Kropak I Kec. Probolinggo Regency.
