EDUCATIONAL REVOLUTION 4.0: EDUCATORS TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY TOWARDS ACHIEVING SDGS

Abstract

The era of the fourth industrial revolution has brought significant impacts on the global development of industry and technology. Apart from creating unprecedented job opportunities and new professions, this revolution has also transformed the paradigms of learning and education systems, particularly in Indonesia. Education is a crucial aspect of human life, enabling individuals to acquire both formal and non-formal knowledge that is essential. This article aims to depict teaching techniques and technological infrastructure utilized by educators and learners in Indonesia to address the era of the fourth industrial revolution, with hopes that the Indonesian education system can compete both nationally and internationally. The research approach employed in this article is qualitative literature review. From the analysis conducted, it is concluded that the fourth industrial revolution has significant implications across various fields, including education. Modern technology plays a pivotal role in facilitating daily human activities, particularly in communication and accessing information, which have become fundamental needs. Technology in education holds great potential for enhancing access to quality education in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
