Peran Majelis Pengawas Notaris Dalam Upaya Penegakan Terhadap Pelanggaran Kode Etik Notaris Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Jabatan Notaris

Abstract

Notary is a public official who performs the profession in providing legal services to the community needs to get guarantees and legal protection in the framework of legal certainty in carrying out the duties of notary so that it can carry out the notary code of ethics as well as possible and correctly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. As a Notary in carrying out his position must be able to be professional based on a noble personality, behave in carrying out the principle of prudence, by always implementing the provisions in the Notary Department Law while upholding the Code of Ethics of the Profession, namely the Notary Code of Ethics is a moral rule determined by the Indonesian Notary Association (INI) based on the Decision of congress. While based on Article 16 (1) letter a Law No. 4 of 2014 concerning the Notary Office. The supervision activities of notaries aim that supervision is always carried out by judicial agencies and the government, that the purpose of supervision so that every Notary when carrying out his duties as an official meets all requirements related to the implementation of the duties of the Notary office, for the sake of safeguarding the interests of the community, because the Notary is appointed by the government not in the interests of the Notary himself, but for the benefit of the community he will serve.
